Peter Bryant

Peter Bryant advises leadership teams and audiences across the energy and minerals value chain — from mining majors and manufacturers to hyperscalers, utilities, and governments including Saudi Arabia and the USA.

As Board Chair of Clareo, a strategy advisory firm serving energy and minerals companies, and Co-Founder and Board Chair of the Development Partner Institute, Bryant is committed to driving positive change in the mining and energy sectors. He also leads the Key Minerals Forum, a Washington DC-based coalition working with key Senate and House committees and federal agencies toward a coherent U.S. critical minerals policy.

His strategic advisory work spans some of the world's most significant resource and energy companies, including Anglo American, BHP, Rio Tinto, Barrick Gold, Baker Hughes, and BP, and he sits on advisory boards for Lilac Solutions, Symx, and Oryx Global Partners, among others.

A regular participant in the World Economic Forum's Mine Ministers Summit and Saudi Arabia's Future Minerals Forum Ministerial Roundtable, Bryant is also a co-author of The Growth Champions (2012). His insights have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Canadian Mining Journal, and CNBC Arabia.

Bryant holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University of Wellington, is a Chartered Accountant, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Originally from New Zealand, he splits his time between the U.S. and London.

Biography

Peter Bryant advises leadership teams and audiences across the value chain, from mining majors to manufacturers, hyperscalers and utilities facing the sharpest exposure to critical minerals supply constraints in the age of energy expansion, as well as governments including Saudi Arabia and USA.

As the Board Chair of strategy advisory firm Clareo, that provides expert advise to energy and minerals firms,  and Co-Founder and Board Chair of the Development Partner Institute, a nonprofit focused on promoting improved social, economic, and environmental outcomes for communities from resource development projects, Peter is deeply committed to driving positive change in the mining and energy sectors.

Bryant also leads the Key Minerals Forum, a Washington DC-based coalition that engages key Senate and House committees (e.g. Energy and Natural Resources and Intelligence) and key federal agencies (e.g DoE) on deeply understanding the global minerals sector, working toward a coherent and competitive US approach and policy regarding critical minerals.

Bryant’s strategic advisory work spans some of the world’s most significant resource and energy companies, including Anglo American, BHP, Rio Tinto, Barrick Gold, Teck Resources, Metso, Weir, Baker Hughes, Castrol and BP. He also sits on several other advisory boards, including Lilac (a leading lithium extraction (DLE) company), Andi (AIBased search engine) Symx (AI minerals start up) and Oryx Global Partners (a resources-focused private equity firm).

Bryant is a regular participant in the World Economic Forum’s annual Mine Ministers Summit and the Future Minerals Forum Ministerial Roundtable in Saudi Arabia. He is also an invited participant in the joint Rockefeller Foundation and Brookings Institute 17 Rooms program, which aims to accelerate the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals He is a co-author of “The Growth Champions: The Battle for Sustained Innovation Leadership,” which was published in 2012.

Bryant’s expert insights and opinions have been featured in various industry publications, including the Canadian Mining Journal, Journal of Petroleum Technology, Global Mining Review, and Chief Executive, and he is often quoted in the Wall Street Journal. He has also been interviewed by Bloomberg and CNBC Arabia. He immigrated to the United States in 1996 from New Zealand via Australia and currently splits his time between the U.S. and London.

Bryant holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, is a CA from the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is also a co-founder of The World Innovation Network.
