Zabrina Johal
Zabrina Johal is the Chief Executive Officer of Zap Energy, where she is leading the development of an integrated nuclear platform combining advanced fission and fusion technologies. With a background as a U.S. Naval nuclear propulsion officer and over two decades in advanced energy systems, she has led large-scale initiatives across national security, infrastructure, and power. Her work focuses on accelerating the deployment of firm, reliable energy to meet growing global demand.

Zabrina is the Senior Vice President for Nuclear Strategy and Commercial at AtkinsRéalis. She graduated from Santa Clara University with degrees in physics and chemistry and was recruited into the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Power Program. She served on the USS Carl Vinson as a nuclear propulsion officer. After her naval service, she joined General Atomics, contributing to the design of a cost-effective nuclear reactor. Over the years, Zabrina has led innovative projects in defense, energy, and advanced technologies. She holds master's degrees from Old Dominion University and the University of San Diego and serves on multiple industry and academic boards.
