Introducing Ryan Lynch

NCEA is glad to welcome Ryan Lynch to our scholars. Ryan is a maritime executive and industrial-policy economist focused on the strength and resilience of the maritime-industrial base, an area that sits close to the heart of U.S. energy security.
His experience spans commodity trading, ship management, shipbuilding, infrastructure capital, economic security and maritime sovereignty. As Managing Partner of the Maritime OIC group of companies, he advises investors and policymakers on allied maritime and shipbuilding capabilities. He previously served as President and CEO of Hanwha Shipping and as a Managing Director within Gunvor Group.
A fourth-generation American maritime advocate, Ryan holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and a master's in applied economics from American University.
His first work for NCEA, a maritime issue brief, is on the way. In the meantime, read more on his scholar profile.
